Privacy Policy

The short version

This site doesn't track you. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no cookies. We only handle personal data when you buy a plugin, activate one, or email us, and we only use it to do exactly that.

Who we are

NYX-DSP is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything privacy-related, email hello@nyx-dsp.com.

Browsing the site

Like every website, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider may keep these in short-lived server logs for security and troubleshooting. We don't use them to identify or profile you.

Some plugin pages include a video embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. Loading one of those pages connects your browser to Google. If you play the video, Google's privacy policy applies.

Buying a plugin

Checkout is handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's site, and we never see or store them. Stripe shares your name, email address, billing country and order details with us so we can issue your license, send it to you, keep records for tax, and help if something goes wrong with an order.

Activating a plugin

When you start a free trial or activate a license, the plugin contacts our licensing server. It sends:

• Your license key, or a trial request for the plugin.
• A machine ID. For paid licenses this is a random ID created when the plugin is installed. For trials it's derived from your device.
• Your operating system and computer name, so you can tell your activated machines apart if you ever need to free up a slot.

We use this to enforce the machine limit on each license and the 7-day trial period, nothing else. After activation the plugin works offline and doesn't phone home.

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and refer back to it if the same issue comes up again.

Legal basis

We process order and license data because we need it to fulfil our contract with you, ] and keep order records because tax law requires it. Server logs and support emails are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure site and answering your questions.

How long we keep it

• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically six years.
• License and activation records: for as long as your license exists, since it's a lifetime license. You can ask us to delete them, but then we can't restore your license if you lose it.
• Trial records: removed once they're no longer needed to stop repeat trials.
• Server logs: kept briefly by our host, then deleted automatically.
• Support emails: until the issue is resolved and it's unlikely we'll need them again.

Who else sees your data

Only the services listed above. Each processes your data to provide its service. Some of them are based in the United States, and transfers there are covered by their standard safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers or send marketing email.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@nyx-dsp.com and we'll respond within as soon as possible. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live; in the UK that's the ICO.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
